DOWNTOWN — Chicago’s skies will be full of fireworks in celebration of the Fourth of July come Thursday.
There are fireworks, cruises, picnics and more planned. Navy Pier will be crowded, as always, but there are also some, er, “unofficial” shows across the city.

Mercury 3D Fireworks Cruise
When: Departs 8 p.m.

When: 9:30-9:45 p.m. (though the gates open at 10 a.m.)

Saddle & Cycle Club fireworks
When: 9 p.m.
Where: Club members and their guests can watch from the club at 900 W. Foster Ave. Those who aren’t members can watch from the surrounding area.
Hyde Park
4th on 53rd Parade
When: Starts at 11 a.m.
Where: The parade starts near 54th Street and Lake Park Avenue and ends at Nichols Park, 1355 E. 53rd St.

Independence Day Celebration
When: 10 a.m.-noon
Where: Independence Park, 3945 N. Springfield Ave.
Lincoln Park
Chicago History Museum 60th Annual Fourth of July Celebration
When: A series of events kick off at 10 a.m. with a singing of the National Anthem. The museum will be free for Illinois residents noon-4:30 p.m.
Where: 1601 N. Clark St.
Mayfair
North Mayfair Fourth of July Parade
When: 9-11:30 a.m.
Where: Palmer Elementary School, 5051 N. Kenneth Ave.
Sauganash
Fourth of July Parade and Picnic
